My 22nd Birthday at Bahia... again!

I have always wanted to spend a whole night (and dawn) with my friends (friends only with no distractions) at the beach or at a resort. And finally, after how many years of planning a night such as that, it has come true on the eve of my birthday. What a way to celebrate my 22nd birthday! I certainly wanted to invite my friends from college but my mind was too full that time. If only I didn't have problems during those days, I would have enjoyed it so much. But I enjoyed it nevertheless. I had fun despite the things that bothered me, which my friends said was obvious even though I didn't tell them the real reason for my despair. But everything is okay now and I could only look back to the memories.

Anyways, it was actually not planned so well. At two in the afternoon, Naomi, Jay, and I decided to celebrate my birthday by spending a night at Bahia Resort Hotel located at Agus, Lapulapu City. We then went to Jen and Bes' place to invite them and called the rest of our ka-BERKS Paolo, Jojo, and Dido. After going to Mambaling, we went to Consolacion, at Naomi's place to get clothes for Naomi and at the same time ask permission from her father. From there, we went to Lapulapu, to pack things for myself.

Then it all began, Naomi, Jay, and I met Jen and Bes at Bahia and proceeded to our room. After a brief videoke session, Jojo, Paolo, and Dido arrived with two family-sized pizzas from Da Vinci. The pizzas were consumed so fast, as all of us were so hungry. We were expecting the Bahia people to serve food 24 hours but they didn't so we really had no food. We were not allowed to bring food at the resort by the way. So to ease our hunger, we ordered chips and bottles of San Mig Light and started our overnight drinking session. Hehehe....

However, the bottles of San Mig Light apparently didn't satisfy Paolo's cravings so we decided to smuggle Jollibee at Bahia. It was so fun running and hiding from the guards as if we were smuggling drugs. Hahaha... We turned off the lights and pretended to be asleep while all of us were consuming the fried chicken, spaghetti, burgers, etc... After eating, we went back swimming, and drinking, and talking again... until seven in the morning. We slept for about four hours and checked out from the resort at twelve noon. Then we had our lunch at Chowking Gaisano Mactan before going home.

Here are some of the pictures:

A Prayer in the Desert

We had just finished our pictionary sessions for that day when Manang startled us with a shocking news. Immanuel, or Iman as what we usually call him, the only nephew we have, was rushed to the hospital earlier that day. We were kind of late for the news as my eldest sister, Grace, only left an offline message to my other sister's (Nanette) yahoo account.  It was not really a cause of alarm for me at first as I knew that Ate is some kind of paranoid sometimes. She worries a lot and I thought that she overestimated the gravity of the situation.  Manang decided to call Ate though it was already around 4am Philippine time. I was only listening, something that I usually do as I'm not good in communicating affection to family members, or to anyone if I may say (but it doesn't mean that I don't care. I do, I really do care.) She first told us about the situation, that Iman was suffering from a disease worse than pneumonia, that his lungs were dirty, and that air could...

Finding Moymoy

Maybe because I am such a fun loving person, I always try to search and watch funny videos over YouTube. But unlike other people who are so adept in looking for the videos that they wanted, I can’t seem to find the ones that would really make me laugh boisterously. I can’t seem to use the right keywords to search for. Last week though, on my first ever conversation with my high school buddy, Ecel, in the last five months, she mentioned about a funny video over YouTube. She told me to search the word WANNABE and look for the video that was made by ‘Moymoypalaboy.’ She said that the video made her laugh until she dropped. Quoting her verbatim, “kaybaw ko buddy mobuhakhak jud ka ato (I know you would certainly laugh at it too.)” The following day, I searched the video and waited for it to load. I tried to be patient with the very slow broadband connection by Globelines but I simply could not so I just left it while it was loading and went to the dining table to eat my dinner. Fina...

What Happened to Tony Almeida?!

Tony Almeida's new look as a terrorist in season 7 “What happened to Tony Almeida???!” I posted that same message on my YM status about a week ago, describing the wonder that was lurking in my mind about what truly happened to Tony Almeida oblivious of the fact that aside from 24 addicts like me, no one really knows who Tony Almeida is. For that whole day, a number of my YM friends who saw that status message of mine asked mo who Tony Almeida was. I gave them the same answer. Tony Almeida is actually one of 24’s recurring characters. And guess what, they also gave me the same reply. They all thought that Tony Almeida was some filthy Filipino politician who is involved with corruption issues. I was obviously amused by their reactions but at the same time worried about how Tony Almeida’s character would end in 24. The night before, I watched the first two episodes of 24’s newest season. And for those who haven’t watched the new episodes yet, you better not read this post for be...
